Here i come people, with the Gun Street Girls in all their glory. Starting with a coupla Charleston dates. GSG are openin for Leon Russell on the 15th of February at the Pour House! What an honor to be asked! THANKS ALEX! This will be a great opportunity to make friends with a very hip group of grown ass rockers. I hope they like me. Catch us at the Map Room on the 28th with American Aquarium opening the show. If you like Uncle Tupelo, Whiskey Town etc, you will love this band. I know i do!
We will be coming through Georgia at the end of March...Athens, Atlanta, Macon and Augusta. I am very pleased to see the good old peach state. Home of the Dungeon Family, varsity chili dogs, Gram Parsons, Otis Redding and James Brown and some of my favorite venues anywhere! The Earl is normally my home sweet home in Atlanta, but my agent got me in the Star Bar with my friends J. Roddy Holston and the Business. We will visit the Hummingbird in Macon, which is owned by fellow Gram Parsons lovers who sing like BIRDS! I love to find kindred spirt in the world. Its been too long since we squeezed onto the stage at the Soul Bar in Augusta. The last time i was there, i was fightin off a nasty case of laryngitis so i am lookin forward to reclaiming the glory.

You will note the absence of Ash Hopkins. I miss him, we all do, but he had to retire. He is but young, and he has already spend a few more years on the road than he wants to at this point in his life. you should hit him up on myspace and tell him how much you miss him. He is in Chapel Hill doin other projects so he can stay not crazy until the next thing comes around. Mean time, Michael Trent will be pullin bass duty as well as harmonica and haromies.

You will notice next time you see us that the band is singin more. It feels more band-y that way. Band-y like the Band, band-ish like we are 15 years old and living the dream! i never wanted to be a solo act. I need that energy exchange. Look forward to Jack Burgs lead vocals on the Last Time and check out Lee Barbour playing straight up country style on 1200 Miles. These are the things you have to look forward to as we progress through the rest of winter. Thanks for stickin with us. The Girls are doin their push ups and gettin ready for spring to burst. I hope it doesnt make a mess.

We have had the good fortune to have been invited to tour a bit in spring with Band Of Horses, in the South East and Florida. I am very excited about it. I hope that we make some friends, sell some records and come back in one piece. You know me, its always been about baby steps. SO! Those of you down that-a-way, my old man included (HI DAD), come on out. Dates and venues forthcoming!

Hello world... i would like to introduce you to my new band, The Gun Street Girls. They would say that it was nice to meet you but they dont have much to say and they are not particularly nice. So I will bid you enchante on their behalf and we will continue from there. Our record, Dust and Bones, is available here, via CD BABY or I-tunes, or via our show which I highly recommend. If you are in Charleston, buy it at Cat's, Monster Music, Millenium... and finally, 52.5 Records!!! Upcoming shows include a solo acoustic performance at the Village Tavern with my friend Danielle Howle on the 26th of October, as well as a Halloween Rock Show featuring the halloween rock band Scary Ann Hearse and the Gun Street Ghouls! Also the Spec as the Spooks, and the infamous Bill "Boo" Carson. Bring treats cause you dont want any part of these tricks. We are gonna start touring soon... very sweet. And we have some new songs that are to be recorded for an EP, which will probably be made free for download on myspace. CHILLIN!!
